Outcome Based Payment System

OPRA supports outcome-based funding system that is appropriately designed. It is OPRA’s universal stance that all funding rates should be at levels that allow for a livable DSP wage. We believe outcome-based funding systems encourages higher quality services and improved life satisfaction for individuals served. OPRA continues to have conversations at committee meetings, trainings, and conferences about how to best implement this system and achieve high quality outcomes.

In the spring of 2017, the Ohio Department of Developmental Disablists (DODD) plans to implement the following outcome-based programs;

  • Assistive Technology
  • Benefits Educations and Analysis
  • Career Discovery
  • Employment/Self-Employment Planning
  • Situational Observations and Assessment

Additionally, during 2017, Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities plans to add a new Supported Employment program that is outcome-based.
