Position Description:

At Resident Home Association of Greater Dayton (RHA), we support individuals with developmental disabilities in safe, respectful, and person-centered homes. As a Home Manager, you’ll lead a residential home where your work directly impacts the lives of residents, families, and staff — every single day. Duties and Responsibilities:

What You’ll Do Lead & Support a Team

Supervise, mentor, and support Direct Support Professionals
Ensure staffing coverage and daily operations aligned with Individual Service Plans (ISPs)
Identify training needs and support professional growth
Participate in hiring, evaluations, and performance management Support Health & Well-Being
Oversee medical care, appointments, and medication administration
Ensure accurate health documentation and timely follow-up Champion Person-Centered Care
Implement and monitor Individual Service Plans and daily programming
Observe behaviors, document progress, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
Support positive family and guardian involvement Manage the Home
Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming household
Oversee household budgets, purchasing, and inventory
Ensure accurate records, regulatory compliance, and licensure readiness

Requirements:

What We’re Looking For

A leader who builds respectful, professional relationships
Experience in residential services or developmental disabilities preferred
Knowledge of (or willingness to learn) Ohio DODD regulations
Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
Bachelor’s degree preferred; relevant experience considered
Valid driver’s license and ability to drive agency vehicles

Physical & Work Environment Expectations

Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and lift (up to 50 lbs occasionally)
Exposure to behavioral challenges, medications, and household chemicals
Must be able to safely perform all job duties
