Resident Coordinator
Creative Living
Creative Living is a nonprofit organization with more than 50 years of experience providing affordable, wheelchair-accessible apartments for adults with physical disabilities on the campus of The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. We are the nation’s only campus-adjacent, community-funded accessible housing community, designed to support residents who want to live independently while pursuing education, careers, and full participation in community life. Our mission is rooted in the belief that independence does not mean isolation. Through a strong community model and a 24/7 Resident Assistant Program, Creative Living provides reliable, non-medical support that allows residents to avoid institutional care while maintaining autonomy, dignity, and choice. Creative Living operates as a community-funded service guided by a governance-focused Board of Trustees and led by an Executive Director responsible for organizational leadership and day-to-day integration. A dedicated management team oversees operations, finance, development, resident coordination, and support services, ensuring the organization functions with clarity and accountability. This work is carried out alongside a large team of Resident Assistants who provide around-the-clock support to residents, 365 days a year. Together, these roles form an integrated system that aligns vision, people, and operations while keeping residents’ needs at the center of every decision. Our culture is grounded in respect, responsibility, and shared commitment to meaningful impact. Creative Living values people who are dependable, thoughtful, and motivated by service—whether they are providing direct support to residents, coordinating systems behind the scenes, or strengthening the organization through fundraising and partnerships. We emphasize clear expectations, supportive leadership, and collaboration because our work depends on trust, empathy, and accountability at every level. If you are looking for work that is purposeful, well-structured, and connected to real outcomes, Creative Living offers a place where your role matters and your contributions make a lasting difference.
