Training Our Next Generation of Leaders
Recognizing the importance of training tomorrow’s industry leader, OPRA will be offering its Fourth consecutive year of Advance Leadership Training. As our industry leaders mature, we will soon be faced with a shortage of quality, experienced executives. It is up to us to help ensure that we help develop the next generation of knowledgeable, disciplined thinkers to move into leadership positions with our provider agencies. OPRA recognizes this gap and is offering its membership a way to invest in the future. This program is meant for those employees in your agency that you have identified as having the potential to be outstanding administrative leaders now and into the future.
This is a yearlong intensive training set to begin January 2018 and conclude in October 2018. Participants meet during the dates listed below at the OPRA office in Columbus from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Lunch may be purchased with advance notice at a cost of $10, to be collected the day-of.
One (1) excused absence is permitted for the duration of the program
Participants complete the assigned readings and materials prior to each meeting.
For provider organizations that are OPRA Members, one (1) individual from that organization may attend for just the nominal cost of program materials and administrative fees. Additional attendees from that organization may participate at a tuition rate of $1,000.00 each, plus materials and fees. For non-members, any attendee may participate at a tuition rate of $1,500.00, plus materials and fees. Payment for participation, if applicable, must be paid in full prior to the first meeting.
This program has been life-changing for many of the participants. “The ADVANCE Leadership program taught me so much about various leadership styles and communication. This program is full of extremely educational and enriching literature but the deep discussions that this literature drew from the group inspired insight that can only be possible in a group setting,” said Lisa Reed, Executive Director, RHDD.

I personally found it to be inspiring and helped identify growth areas so I could become a stronger leader.
