Position Description:

At Resident Home Association of Greater Dayton (RHA), we support individuals with developmental disabilities in safe, respectful, and person-centered homes. As a Home Manager, you’ll lead a residential home where your work directly impacts the lives of residents, families, and staff — every single day. Duties and Responsibilities:
What You’ll Do Lead & Support a Team
- Supervise, mentor, and support Direct Support Professionals
- Ensure staffing coverage and daily operations aligned with Individual Service Plans (ISPs)
- Identify training needs and support professional growth
- Participate in hiring, evaluations, and performance management Support Health & Well-Being
- Oversee medical care, appointments, and medication administration
- Ensure accurate health documentation and timely follow-up Champion Person-Centered Care
- Implement and monitor Individual Service Plans and daily programming
- Observe behaviors, document progress, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
- Support positive family and guardian involvement Manage the Home
- Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming household
- Oversee household budgets, purchasing, and inventory
- Ensure accurate records, regulatory compliance, and licensure readiness
Requirements:
What We’re Looking For
- A leader who builds respectful, professional relationships
- Experience in residential services or developmental disabilities preferred
- Knowledge of (or willingness to learn) Ohio DODD regulations
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; relevant experience considered
- Valid driver’s license and ability to drive agency vehicles
Physical & Work Environment Expectations
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and lift (up to 50 lbs occasionally)
- Exposure to behavioral challenges, medications, and household chemicals
- Must be able to safely perform all job duties
- On-Call Responsibility
