OPRA Member List Serve
OPRA List Serves are on-line forums that facilitate timely communication among the members of the Ohio Provider Resource Association. OPRA maintains nine (9) list serves covering general member information to specific topic areas. Group members receive updates on important issues related to MR/DD (such as the state budget, waiver reimbursement, adult day services, rule changes, etc.), and group members are asked to provide input regarding such issues. Also, group members can "post" to the List Serve questions and comments on issues of the day, and other members can respond. Please review the "Netiquette" tips below before using an OPRA list serve.
How do I Join?
You can now subscribe/unsubscribe to one or more of the OPRA List Serves by entering your FULL NAME/AGENCY (e.g. Jane Doe - OPRA). This will be subjected to OPRA approval. List Serve membership is FREE to all OPRA members! To send a message, please use the reply button or the list serve name at opra.simplelist.com. For example, to send a message to the member list serve, you would use opra_members@opra.simplelists.com. You can also check the box to recieve Daily Digest Summary. Daily digest summary allow members to receive a compiled digest of all email messages posted for the previous day rather than each email message as it is posted to the list.

Here are some 'netiquette' tips on the polite usage of the lis tservs. In addition, legal guidelines are included at the bottom for your use.
Original Post
- When you are the person posting a question, be sure that you entitle it with a good, concise, explanatory title in the subject line.
- If you must post a long message, warn the other subscribers with a statement in the body of the message at the top: Example: WARNING: LONG MESSAGE.
Replies & ME TOOs
- If your message is an informative response to someone's question, from which everyone can learn, you should respond and send your reply message to everyone. However, try to avoid re-sending the entire message you are replying to. Cut and paste the relevant parts when replying, and please do not re-send a digest back to the listserve.
Remember: when you click on "reply" to a posting, your response is posted to the entire listserve.
- If your reply is simply a request to receive a copy of what someone has offered to share, or simply to agree with someone (such as: "Me, too"), please do not reply to the entire group. Instead, send your response directly to the e-mail address of the person who posted the message by clicking on your "Forward to" button, and typing in or cutting and pasting in the e-mail address of the individual to whom you are responding.
Auto Signature
Always remember to include a full "autosignature" block at the bottom of the messages you post so that other subscribers will know who you are and how to reach you directly.
