Governmental & Regulatory Representation

These are challenging times for the providers of Developmental Disabilities services. The next generation of ICF/IID services is being developed – and OPRA is pro-actively engaged in this process. Significant funding reductions are possible for a variety of Medicaid programs – and some could be eliminated altogether.  Many, if not all, of these changes could directly impact individuals with Developmental Disabilities, and they will certainly have important consequences for providers who serve Ohioans with developmental disabilities.  The need for providers to have a STRONG VOICE – to be heard as these and other policy changes considered and made – has never been greater. That is why the role played by OPRA – the leading voice for choice and quality care and the premier resource for private providers of Developmental Disabilities services – has never been more critical.

OPRA has consistently stood up for what we believe to be important for the care and support of those we serve. But providers and those who advocate for Ohioans with Developmental Disabilities can only be effective if their voice in strong . . . and, if they speak with a SINGLE VOICE that is heard by public officials and others who are making vital decisions that affect services to individuals with mental retardation and developmental disabilities.

Marketing Opportunities

OPRA’s online directories offer a great way for people with developmental disabilities, as well as caregivers and service providers, to easily access a wide variety of important information about the services available in their counties and surrounding areas. We strongly encourage our members to join and utilize the Service Provider and Service Openings Directories as well as the Citation Database. These are useful tools for your business regardless of your size. You can link directly to these directories through your OPRA web account. (link to log in page)

OPRA’s Service Provider Directory offers vital information for individuals with developmental disabilities, caregivers, and support professionals, featuring a comprehensive list of resources and service providers in Ohio’s DD system.  Associate members may display their organization and services/products provided.
The Service Provider Directory offers an interactive map of Ohio, and search features that include a comprehensive listing of individual providers, county boards, and private providers all searchable by agency, county, city, or services.  OPRA members can customize their entries with pictures and images and provide more information to help their organizaiton stand out.

     3.   Member Directory

This list is printed and mailed to members once per year.

     4.   Sponsorship Opportunities

Sponsors, exhibitors, and advertisers are a large part of what makes OPRA’s annual Spring and Fall Conferences so successful.  Not only does their support help to enrich the quality of those events, but attendees from across Ohio look forward to visiting the exhibits and personally interacting with company reps to learn more about the offered products and services.  As the Conferences have grown over the years, sponsor, exhibitor, and advertising space have become a hot commodity: being at an OPRA event ensures high visibility, contact-list expansion, and prospecting opportunities in concretely measurable ways.
