On Wednesday February 24, 2010, the OPRA Board of Directors honored Ron Kozlowski a recognition award for his 24 years of service at the helm of the Advocacy and Protective Services, Inc. (APSI). Through the years of his tenure, APSI grew as an agency from serving 2,900 individuals to 4,750. Tens of thousands of people have benefitted from his leadership.
"Ron's career spanned a time of great systems change and increased self-advocacy for individuals with developmental disabilities. As APSI's director, Ron worked tirelessly to advocate for many of Ohio's most vulnerable citizens. As a result, Ron has affected many lives," according to Than Johnson, President of the OPRA Board of Directors.
Mark Davis, OPRA President, commented that "I have enjoyed working closely with Ron over the years to build a better system of service to individuals with developmental disabilities. I always appreciated and respected Ron for how much he cares about the people who use and need APSI's services."
With many thanks for his years of service, OPRA wishes Ron all the best in his retirement.
